OF COURSE! We are thrilled when new patients choose our office.
We accept all ages. The American Dental Association recommends seeing children as young as 1 year to familiarize them with the office. Cleanings are usually performed for the first time around age 3.
Yes! It only takes 2 days for bacteria-filled plaque to harden and become the tartar that causes gingivitis and bone loss. Once formed, tartar can only be removed by the hygienist with special instruments.
We can bill and file with all insurance carriers except Medicare and Medicaid. In-network providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield and Delta Dental.
Usually performed in two visits. The first visit consists of removing the infected nerve and thoroughly cleaning the canals in the roots to disinfect the tooth. The second visit consists of filling the canals with a biocompatible material called Gutta Purcha to seal the canals and prevent further infection. Although they’ve gotten a bad reputation, root canals are typically painless and relatively comfortable. Dr. McKenzie is proud to offer root canals as a much-needed service that many providers refer to specialists in other cities.
Dr. McKenzie does not provide conventional orthodontics (braces), but does offer Invisalign® treatments as a service to patients of all ages. Dr. McKenzie gladly works with local orthodontists to make sure all needs of our patients are met.
YES! Cerec technology allows us to provide a crown in a single visit, and the same outstanding material that labs provide. We can restore a broken tooth with a crown in one single visit, no more impressions, no more temporaries, and no more waiting two weeks for the lab!
Yes, Dr. McKenzie has to be able to see the tooth structure and roots that aren’t visible by just looking. In order to make a complete and correct diagnosis, x-rays are necessary.
